Outdoor Kitchens

Outdoor Kitchens
If you’re a person who likes to entertain, to host dinner parties and BBQs regularly and have fun with friends and family, outdoor kitchens are a great option for you. An increasing number of people are looking to utilize their outdoor space in a more functional manner- and building an outdoor kitchen is a great way to do that. You can spend some time away from the indoors and cook in a more open space.

We at Heavenly Oasis Landscaping have seen our clients here in Greenville and in the nearby cities of Parker, Gantt, Berea, Wade Hampton and Mauldin enjoy their outdoor kitchens regularly. They’re a great addition to any home and some of our clients seem to cook more in their outdoor kitchens than in their primary one.

Some of our clients in Taylors, Greer, Simpsonville, Easley and Spartanburg enjoy cooking in their outdoor kitchens with their children and partners, spending some quality family time together.

Outdoor Kitchen Ideas

Most people are worried about the expense involved in constructing outdoor kitchens. The fact of the matter is that the price-tag on them depends on the outdoor kitchen design. You have a wide variety of choices before you. You can use stone, brick or concrete as your building material. You have the option to use steel frames or wood frames. The cost also depends on the appliances you install in your kitchen. However, ultimately, the cost depends largely on the kitchen layout.

Outdoor Kitchens
  • Standalone Counters: Single counter layouts are the simplest, most basic layout option available to you. You can get a pre-fabricated kit or construct one from scratch; it depends on your preference. On standalone counters, you don’t have separate areas for food preparation and the sink. These counters are great for people who only want outdoor kitchens for an occasional BBQ party or small gatherings.

  • L-Shaped: This is the most preferred layout since it combines economy and functionality. You have a separate counter for food preparation so you get more freedom to cook. These kitchens can be tucked into convenient corners of your landscape and won’t take up too much space.

  • U-Shaped: This layout can be considered the best of both worlds. With three sides, it gives you ample room for cooking, food preparation and storage. You can install bar stools so that you can chat with family and friends as you cook. This layout is great for people who love to entertain and often host large dinner parties or gatherings.

  • Split-Level: This design allows you enough space to cook and also serves as a dining table. It’s a great option if you love to talk and communicate with people as you cook. By adding a few barstools, you can have your friends sit right in front of you as you work.

  • Square: This is the most expensive option available and homeowners rarely choose it. However, since this layout can also incorporate a dining table, you don’t need to create a separate dining area for your guests. If you don’t have space in your backyard, you can use this layout to give you some room to seat your guests.
